CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: National Institute of Fashion Technology organized its third alumni meet in a grand manner on its campus. The objective of the event was to reconnect former students with their alma mater and provide a platform for them to share their experiences and professional journeys with current students.
The Program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, attended by Director Akhil Sahay, Campus Academic Coordinator Debjyoti Ganguly, Assistant Professor and Regional Industry Coordinator Namrata Singh, and Abhijeet Banik, founder of ABC Studio.
Addressing the gathering, Director Akhil Sahay expressed pride in the achievements of the alumni, stating that “my students are my brand.” Debjyoti Ganguly described the event as an emotional homecoming, offering an opportunity to relive a cherished phase of life.
A major highlight of the event was the launch of NIFT Bhopal’s coffee table book Abhivyakti, prepared by students of the Fashion Communication department. This was followed by a panel discussion on Campus to Corporate and Entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of synergy between industry and education.
Rahul Pandey, Brand Head at Wildcraft India and an alumnus, conducted a masterclass on designing for the next generation. He shared detailed insights on fashion retail, emerging technologies, and brand building. Alumni also reminisced about their college days, creating a strong emotional connection during the event.
Assistant Professor Ruchika Raj Saxena remarked that the experience was nostalgic and refreshing. The Celebration concluded with the presentation of the Alumni Award 2026 to Ishita Goyal (Batch 2017, F&LA) for her outstanding contribution to the industry.
Cultural performances, poetry recitations, and a networking lunch marked the successful conclusion of the event. The grand events was led by Director Akhil Sahay, Debjyoti Ganguly, Namrata Singh, along with faculty members and staff.
