CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A workshop on “Production Process” was organized by the Department of Electronic Media at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, focusing on the topic “Editing with AI.” Subject expert P.K. Nigam provided valuable insights to the students. Before the session, the Head of the Department, Monika Verma, welcomed Mr. Nigam with a shawl and a memento.

Director Monika Verma emphasized the growing importance of AI in editing, stating, “In today’s era of AI, it is essential for students to understand and gain knowledge about its application in editing.”

During the concluding session of the two-day workshop held at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Mr. Nigam highlighted that AI has become a crucial tool in editing, significantly simplifying the process. Through practical demonstrations using PPTs, he explained concepts ranging from non-linear editing to basic AI-assisted editing.

Mr. Nigam also elaborated on scenes, shots, pixels, chroma, white balance, and camera framing, illustrating how even slight changes in shot sequences can impact the outcome of a production. He remarked, “Proper editing can make a film a hit, while poor editing can lead to its failure.”

The workshop was conducted by Senior Assistant Professor Lt. Mukesh Kumar Chaurasia, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Senior Assistant Professor and Public Relations Officer Arun Kumar Khobre. The event saw active participation from faculty members and a large number of students.
