CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A two-day National Seminar is being organized on April 8–9, 2026, in Hyderabad under the joint aegis of the English and Foreign Languages (EFLU) Central University, Hyderabad, and Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal. The seminar marks the birth centenary year of eminent Hindi literary figures—Gopal Das ‘Neeraj’, Mohan Rakesh, Krishna Sobti, Amarkant, Shrilal Shukla, and Dharamvir Bharati.
The उद्घाटन session of the seminar will be held under the chief guestship of Santosh Choubey, poet-storyteller, Director of Vishwarang, and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal. The session will be chaired by Prof. N. Nagaraju, Vice-Chancellor of EFLU, Hyderabad. Distinguished guests at the inauguration will include Sunil Baburao Kulkarni, Director of the Central Hindi Institute, Agra, and Dr. Sangeeta Johari, Registrar of RNTU, who will also share their views.
A special session focusing on the literary contributions of Gopal Das Neeraj and Mohan Rakesh will be chaired by Dr. Jawahar Karnawat, Director of the International Hindi Centre, RNTU, Bhopal. Dr. Ruchi Mishra Tiwari, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Liberal Arts, RNTU, will participate as a special guest and present her insights.
On this occasion, an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will also be signed between EFLU Hyderabad and Rabindranath Tagore University to jointly promote Hindi language, Indian languages, and foreign languages at the international level in both literary and academic domains.
The seminar is being coordinated by Prof. T. J. Rekha Rani, Head of the Hindi Department at the university.
