CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: To promote the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Program, five government universities, three private universities, and 85 colleges have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BoAT). This initiative is considered a significant step toward providing students with practical training alongside their academic studies, in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy.
Under this agreement, students will receive opportunities to undertake apprenticeships in industries during the course of their degree programs. This will enable them to gain real workplace experience and develop essential employability skills. The primary objective of the program is to bridge the gap between education and industry and to better prepare youth for employment.

According to officials, thousands of students are expected to benefit from this initiative. Practical training aligned with industry requirements will be integrated into the curriculum, ensuring that students are job-ready upon completion of their degrees. This approach will not only enhance employability but also encourage self-employment and entrepreneurship.
The program will incorporate apprenticeships into various technical, management, and professional courses. Regular coordination between educational institutions and industries will be established to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the training.
