CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The second academic meet at L.N. Medical College was organized, with AIIMS Executive Director Professor (Dr.) Ajay Singh serving as the chief guest. He stated that emergency medicine is not just a science but a concept, and every emergency department should create its own SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) that includes guidelines from patient treatment to follow-up. He emphasized that the initial period in an emergency is very crucial and timely treatment not only aids in the patient’s quick recovery but also saves their life. During the meeting, Professor Singh informed all the doctors about the upcoming national conference of EMA – EMIINDIA24, which will be held at AIIMS Bhopal in August 2024.
Earlier, the chief guest was welcomed by LNCT University’s Vice-Chancellor Mrs. Poonam Chouksey and L.N. Medical College’s Dean Dr. Nalini Mishra. Doctors from the emergency medicine departments of various medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh attended the program. Emergency medicine is a new department, and the program discussed its working methods and scope.
Doctors from AIIMS Bhopal, L.N. Medical College, Chirayu Medical College, RKDF Medical College, Bhopal Memorial Hospital, GMC Vidisha, GMC Sagar, and Jabalpur Medical College participated in the program. The event was organized by the Emergency Medicine Department of L.N. Medical College, with Dr. Shehtaz Khan as the organizing chairperson and Dr. Shruti Dubey as the organizing secretary.
