CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In view of the ongoing tense situation at the border, Dr. Manisha Srivastava, Acting Director of Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC), held an emergency meeting with senior doctors and officials of the institution.
The meeting focused on preparedness to handle any potential emergency situation, availability of resources, and a detailed discussion on swift response strategies.
During the meeting, Director Srivastava instructed that, considering the current circumstances, all leaves of doctors, nursing staff, and employees stand canceled with immediate effect. She also clarified that no leave applications from any officials will be approved to ensure that the institution’s services remain uninterrupted in case of any emergency.
She directed all departments to immediately ensure an adequate stock of essential medicines, life-saving drugs, medical equipment, and other necessary supplies. Additionally, instructions were given to keep emergency medical services active 24/7 with full capacity and vigilance.
Director Srivastava stated, “It is our duty to serve the nation and society with utmost sincerity and readiness. Providing timely and quality treatment to patients and being fully prepared for any emergency — that is our top priority.”
She also assured that if needed, BMHRC’s medical team is fully prepared to provide relief and medical assistance not only within the institution but also outside.
The BMHRC administration has instructed the departments of medical, nursing, emergency services, pharmacy, supply chain, and technical units to maintain inter-departmental coordination and remain on high alert for immediate response to any situation.
