CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The second day of the EMIndia-24 Mega Conference continued with an in-depth discussion on “Strategies to Tackle Congestion in Emergency Departments in India.” Under the aegis of ACEE, EMA, and INDUSEM, this significant event, held in Bhopal, marks the 20th year of a high-quality scientific symposium focused on emergency medicine. Executive Professor Ajay Singh of AIIMS expressed optimism about the outcomes of the discussions at the EMIndia-24 Mega Conference. He stated, “Today, we will be able to draw some useful conclusions.”
The session saw valuable contributions from experts in the field of emergency medicine. Their insights and expertise are crucial in addressing the challenges faced by emergency departments across the country. We are confident that these discussions will lead to significant improvements in emergency health services.
Dr. Vijay Shah from Gujarat emphasized the need for a policy ensuring that no citizen in India is deprived of emergency treatment at any hospital across the country.
Dr. Sanjeev Bhoi of AIIMS New Delhi, and Director of the WHO Collaborating Center for the South-East Asia Region, stressed the importance of a trained workforce in handling emergency situations. Dr. Bhoi remarked, “A trained workforce to manage emergencies is the need of the hour.”
Professor Yunus, Head of the Department of Trauma and Emergency Medicine, highlighted the importance of national consultations in developing effective strategies to tackle congestion in emergency departments in India. He stated, “This national consultation will undoubtedly help in formulating effective strategies to manage congestion in emergency departments across India.”
At the EMIndia-24 Mega Conference, experts from across the country are participating in various workshops, seminars, and talks, all focused on practices and advancements in emergency medicine.
