CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Forest Department organised a job fair at Charkheda Butterfly Park, Harsud, in Khandwa district under the Khandwa forest circle, with the objective of providing employment and skill development opportunities to local youths. Around 700 youths registered at the fair, of whom about 530 candidates were selected by various companies.
Kunwar Vijay Shah, Minister in the Tribal Affairs Department of the Madhya Pradesh government, was present as the chief guest. Several reputed institutions, including Welspun Jeevika, RMS Bangalore, Tata AutoComp Ahmedabad, Vardhman Yarns, L&T, Agrani Skill Development Society, Sagar Manufacturing Private Limited and LH, participated in the employment fair. These institutions offered employment opportunities to youths for various posts, including assembly operator, spinning operator, weaving operator, process operator, machine operator, fitter and electrician.
The selected candidates will be provided a stipend of up to Rs 13,000 during the training period. After completion of training, they will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000. The companies concerned will also provide hostel and food facilities to the youths at concessional rates.
Chief Conservator of Forests, Khandwa Circle, Basu Kanojia; Divisional Forest Officer, Khandwa, Rakesh Damor; SDO Khandwa and trainee IFS Ajay Gupta; Agrani Skill Development Society CEO Anuj Saxena; and officers and employees of the Khandwa forest division were present at the programme.
It is noteworthy that this was the second employment fair organised by the Khandwa forest circle. Earlier, the first employment fair was held on August 2, 2026, at the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Aonliya, in Khandwa district, where 138 youths were provided employment. Kunwar Vijay Shah, Minister in the Tribal Affairs Department, was also present as the chief guest at that programme.
Through employment fairs, the Khandwa forest circle is taking an innovative initiative to connect local youths with employment, skill development and opportunities for a better future. The initiative, which combines objectives such as job creation, youth empowerment, development of local communities and forest conservation through public participation, is an important step towards sustainable and inclusive development of the region.
