CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As in previous years, this year too, the Department of Civil Engineering at UIT, RGPV (Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, Bhopal) organized a program in celebration of Engineers’ Day and the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, hosted by the Technophilic Engineering Students Club of the Civil Engineering Department.

The program commenced with the lighting of a lamp and the garlanding of the images of Goddess Saraswati and Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.

At the start of the event, Prof. Suresh Singh Kushwaha of the Civil Engineering Department delivered the welcome speech, inspiring students about the importance of engineering and their role in society. He emphasized that the primary duty of an engineer is problem-solving. Society expects engineers to solve problems because they have acquired specialized training and knowledge in their field. Engineers are tasked not only with resolving technical issues but also with creating a better future through innovation and creativity. Engineering is not just a profession; it is a means of bringing positive change to society. Various speakers then shared their thoughts on the achievements and challenges within the field of civil engineering.

On the occasion of Engineers’ Day, the Technophilic Engineering Students Club also released the department magazine “Sarnranchna” (2023-24), unveiled by department faculty members including Suresh Singh Kushwaha, Aruna Rawat, Amit Vishwakarma, Prof. Geeta Botham, Prof. Kapil Malviya, Prateek Singh Choudhary, Anupam Sharma, and Bhanu Varf, alongside students. During the unveiling, the magazine’s features and the articles included were discussed, highlighting the creativity and skills of the students.

The editorial team of the magazine “Sarnranchna” was congratulated and praised by all, with best wishes extended for the bright future of the students. The faculty members encouraged the students to continue developing their knowledge and skills so that they can contribute to positive societal change.
