CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Forest Department successfully organized the State-Level Wildlife Week (1st to 7th October 2025) at Van Vihar National Park, Bhopal, with enthusiastic participation from students of Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Bhopal. The purpose of the event was to spread awareness about wildlife conservation among students and the community and to help them understand their role in maintaining ecological balance.

Throughout the week, the program featured a variety of engaging activities, including painting competitions, bird and butterfly watching, debate competitions, Run for Wildlife, face painting, mehndi and palm painting, and rangoli competitions. Additionally, a workshop on wildlife rescue and monitoring equipment was organized for M.Sc. students, providing them with practical knowledge about tools used in wildlife conservation and monitoring.

The students of Sant Hirdaram Girls College participated in all competitions with great enthusiasm and energy. Aisha Khanam, BCA First Year, secured third place in the debate competition on the topic “Urbanization and the Possibility of Coexistence with Wildlife.” Meanwhile, Rajnish Kaur, M.Sc. First Semester, won first place in the rangoli competition based on a wildlife theme. This active participation enhanced the students’ sensitivity toward wildlife conservation and increased their environmental awareness.

The Principal appreciated the commendable efforts of the Nature Club, stating that experiential learning beyond the classroom on environmental issues fosters a sense of responsibility toward a sustainable future in young people. She emphasized the importance of such co-curricular activities, which connect academic knowledge with real-life experiences, inspiring students to become aware and responsible citizens.
