CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has intensified its investigation into an alleged ₹60 crore cheating case involving Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra. According to sources, the EOW has issued Look Out Circulars (LOCs) against the couple, preventing them from traveling abroad without prior permission from authorities.

The case pertains to allegations made by investors who claimed they were defrauded of crores of rupees through a business venture linked to Kundra. Complaints suggest that the accused lured investors with promises of high returns but failed to deliver on their commitments. As per officials, Shilpa Shetty’s name has surfaced due to her association as a director in one of the companies under investigation.

EOW officials confirmed that both Shetty and Kundra have been summoned for questioning multiple times in the past. However, with fresh evidence surfacing, investigators decided to issue LOCs to ensure their presence during the probe.

This is not the first time Raj Kundra has faced legal trouble. He was previously arrested in connection with a controversial pornography-related case in 2021, which drew wide media attention. While Shilpa Shetty has consistently denied any direct involvement in her husband’s businesses, her association through company records has brought her under scrutiny once again.

The EOW is expected to record further statements of the couple in the coming weeks as part of its probe.
