CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) camps will be organized across 66 healthcare institutions in Bhopal. These camps are held on the 25th of every month as part of the initiative. Due to holidays, special camps are being conducted where both government and private doctors will provide consultations at government healthcare centers.

Doctors from People’s Medical College, Chirayu Medical College, RKDF Medical College, Sagar Multi-Specialty Hospital, Apollo Sage, Bidkar Clinic, Ashoka IVF Center, and Unique Hospital will offer free consultations. Additionally, under the e-RUPI model, 27 private sonography centers will provide free ultrasound services for pregnant women.

Chief Medical and Health Officer of Bhopal, Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, stated that the campaign aims to reduce maternal mortality by identifying high-risk pregnancies. Conditions such as pregnancy-induced hypertension, previous cesarean delivery, severe anemia, habitual abortion, previous stillbirth, grand multiparity, and malpresentation are categorized under high-risk pregnancies.
