CNN Central News & Network β ITDC India E-Press / ITDC News Bhopal: As per the directives of the Higher Education Department, a special essay competition was organized at Sant Hirdaram Girls College on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. The event was conducted in both online and offline modes, in which more than 100 students participated enthusiastically.
The life of Lokmata Ahilyabai was filled with numerous inspirations, with her sense of justice being especially noteworthy. One famous incident highlights this when her son unjustly punished a villager, Ahilyabai herself punished her son, proving that duty stands above relationships. This episode delivered a powerful message of leadership, ethics, and fairness to the students.
At the end of the competition, the entries were evaluated by the judges. Soumya Saxena won the first prize, Pratiksha Shukla received the second prize, and Tania Patil was awarded the third prize.
The success of the event was made possible by the key efforts of NSS Program Officer Meena Barse, Vibha Khare, and Shanti Sharma (NCC & Sports Officer). Principal Dalima Parwani was present on the occasion and, in her address, blessed the participants and congratulated the organizing committee for their dedication and efforts. She also noted that the program was held under the guidelines received from the Higher Education Department.
This event not only served as an excellent platform to enhance the writing skills of students but also became a strong medium to draw inspiration from the great life of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar.
