CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Madhavendra Singh, Chief Executive Officer of the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI), visited CRISP and reviewed the skill development activities and state-of-the-art laboratories being operated there. He particularly sought information about the Industrial Automation training programme being conducted under the Prime Minister Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU).
During the visit, Singh interacted directly with PM-SETU TOT participants from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra, and discussed their training experience, learning process and employment prospects. The participants said the programme was providing them practical and technical training in line with the current requirements of industries, helping create new career opportunities for them.

Singh also held detailed discussions with trainers of CRISP’s Electrical and Electronics Department and reviewed the Industrial Automation module, laboratory facilities and quality of training. He appreciated the modern equipment being used in training and the industry-oriented teaching methods.

On the occasion, he said, “Preparing skilled human resources for the rapidly growing semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sector in the country is the need of the hour. CRISP is providing quality training to youth in line with industry demand, which will play an important role in strengthening the goals of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Skill India.”

Madhavendra Singh said, “In future, CRISP and the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) will work jointly in the field of semiconductor chip manufacturing.” This partnership will pave the way for new skill development and employment opportunities for youth.
