CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As part of its expansion in the renewable energy sector, Evolve Green has set a target of building three gigawatts of renewable energy asset capacity by 2030. The company’s plan aims to increase its presence in solar energy, wind energy, hybrid projects and energy storage. The strategic initiative has been named “RT3 – Road to 3 Gigawatts”.
The company’s plan is not limited to constructing energy projects. It will focus on developing new projects, acquiring existing assets, increasing investment, and owning and operating energy plants. Along with solar energy, wind energy and hybrid projects based on both sources will also be part of the expansion plan.
The inclusion of energy storage systems is intended to help improve power availability and supply management. Given the fluctuations in renewable energy generation caused by weather and time, the importance of storage technology is increasing.
To achieve the three-gigawatt target, the company is working on plans to raise capital, develop strategic partnerships and implement projects effectively. It is exploring opportunities for collaboration with project developers, investors, financial institutions, technology partners and power-purchasing companies. The company’s strategy includes strengthening capabilities from project development to construction, operations and asset management.
Amid rising demand for clean energy in India and efforts to increase renewable energy capacity, companies are expanding their investments and project portfolios. Evolve Green’s announced target reflects its plan to increase its participation in this sector on a large scale. However, achieving the three-gigawatt target within the set timeline will depend on project availability, financing, regulatory approvals and the pace of construction.
