Under the Extended Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA), health checkups were conducted for 842 pregnant women, identifying high-risk pregnancies. These medical camps were organized across various healthcare facilities, including:

District Hospital, Civil Hospitals, Community Health Centers, Primary Health Centers, Civil Dispensaries, and Sanjeevani Clinics

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jawaharlal Nehru Gas Relief Hospital, Indira Gandhi Gas Relief Hospital, Hamidia Hospital, Khushilal Sharma Ayurvedic Hospital, and Protima Malik Police Hospital

Special Care and Follow-Up for High-Risk Pregnancies

Women identified as high-risk during the camps are being provided with specialized medical care and continuous follow-up to ensure safe deliveries.

Free Medical Support for Expecting Mothers

Private sonography centers conducted free ultrasound scans based on medical consultations.

Free transportation was provided through the 108 ambulance service, ensuring pick-up and drop-off for pregnant women.

Private healthcare specialists voluntarily provided free consultations at government health centers.

Identified Complications in High-Risk Pregnancies

A total of 156 women were diagnosed with pregnancy-related complications, including:

Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH)

History of cesarean section

Severe anemia

Habitual abortion

Previous stillbirth

Grand multipara (multiple childbirths)

Malpresentation of the fetus

Critical Role of PMSMA Camps in Reducing Maternal Mortality

Chief Medical and Health Officer Prabhakar Tiwari emphasized that high-risk women identified in PMSMA camps receive continuous monitoring until safe delivery. These camps play a vital role in reducing maternal mortality rates, ensuring better maternal and neonatal health outcomes.
