External Expert Committee Meeting of Internal Quality Assurance Centre (CECA) of Bhoj Open University held

CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress / ITDC News Bhopal: The second annual meeting of the External Committee of the Internal Quality Assurance Center (CIQA) of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University was held in the board room. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University Sanjay Tiwari. Registrar Sushil Mandariya was also present on the occasion. The committee has Prof. Prof. as external members. Rajendra Prasad Das, Vice Chancellor, Krishna Kant Handique State Open University, Guwahati, Assam and Santosh Panda, Director, STRIDE, Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. All internal members of the university’s internal quality assurance centre were also present in the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, a short film depicting the internal activities and infrastructure of the University was screened, which was appreciated by all. In the meeting, the internal quality assurance center discussed topics related to three main areas of the university: academic, administrative and infrastructure. The external members of the committee for the grade “A” obtained by NAAC to the University last year highly praised and congratulated the members of the University.

In the meeting, external members appreciated the efforts of the University for 35 ODL (Open and Distance Education) programs approved by UGC and 9 programs approved by AICTE conducted in the University. The Institutional Development Plan (IDP) of the University prepared by the Internal Quality Assurance Center, CIQA’s Annual Report (2022-23) and the University’s Annual Report (2022-23) were presented before the members.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad Das and Dr. Santosh Panda congratulated the Higher Education Department Madhya Pradesh for making Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University the center of Indian knowledge tradition of sociology subject and its implementation was also discussed. In this episode, it was also reported that three new study centers will start very soon. Along with this, the report of academic and other activities prepared by the Internal Quality Assurance Center (CIQA) and various departments of the university was also presented.

At the end of the meeting, the committee members also informed that the university will conduct the admission process through CUET from the upcoming session 2024-25. Apart from this, members also presented their views on many other main points and decisions were also taken on some important facts.
