Mumbai. The presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray on one stage became a talking point in Maharashtra politics. During a book release event held in Mumbai, the three leaders exchanged light-hearted remarks and humorous comments. During the event, Fadnavis said about Uddhav Thackeray that he had not received another invitation after 2019.

Laughter followed Fadnavis’s remark. Speaking in a joking tone at the event, Fadnavis said Uddhav ji had not invited him after 2019. He also took a dig at his seating position, saying, “I have come to the right.” His comment was seen in the context of political circumstances and changed equations. A light and humorous atmosphere prevailed among the leaders present on the stage.

Leaders gathered for the book release event. The programme was organised for the release of a book linked to cartoonists and political satire. Along with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray also attended. The three leaders shared the stage and made witty comments about one another.

Changed political equations in Maharashtra after 2019. Maharashtra politics saw several major changes after 2019. At that time, differences had emerged between the BJP and the Shiv Sena over the chief minister’s post. After this, the alliance between the two parties broke down and Uddhav Thackeray formed a government with the support of the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party. In June 2022, the Shiv Sena split, and a separate faction led by Eknath Shinde formed a government with the BJP.

Amid such political developments, Fadnavis’s comment brought the event into political discussion as well. However, the event was primarily related to the book release and the art of cartooning.
