The Governor’s Office has relieved Dr. Sanjay Tiwari, the Vice-Chancellor of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University, from his duties as Vice-Chancellor. KC Gupta, the Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor, has been appointed as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university. He will remain in this position until a permanent Vice-Chancellor is appointed.

It is noteworthy that Prof. Sanjay Tiwari was relieved of his duties following his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of Hemchand Yadav University, Durg.

When Dr. Sanjay Tiwari took over as the Vice-Chancellor of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University, the university’s course accreditation from the University Grants Commission (UGC) had expired, and the university needed to obtain accreditation from NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) for the application of new courses. At this critical time, Prof. Tiwari’s leadership and competence helped guide the university to obtain NAAC accreditation with an ‘A’ grade. Subsequently, he also secured the UGC accreditation for the older courses and initiated several new courses in fields such as M.Ed. in Special Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Management. Under his leadership, the university also developed a digital online learning platform and created a website based on Indian Knowledge Traditions.

During his tenure, the university continued to make significant progress.

A farewell ceremony was held for Prof. Sanjay Tiwari in the university’s auditorium, where faculty and staff members shared their memories and expressions of gratitude. The ceremony was attended by SP Gautam, Chairman of the Indian Knowledge Traditions Research Chair, Vibha Mishra, Director of the University’s Printing Department, Ratan Suryavanshi, Director of the Student Welfare Department, Satish Patil, Director of the Admission and Evaluation Department, BB Sharma, Professor of Practice, Rajesh Kumar Patel, University Engineer, Rajesh Saxena, Computer Programmer, and others, who shared their personal memories and experiences.

The university’s Registrar, Sushil Manderia, expressed that they had learned a lot from Prof. Tiwari’s leadership and vision in their short tenure and would continue to seek his guidance for the university’s future development.

On this occasion, the university also presented Dr. Sanjay Tiwari with a certificate of appreciation, which was read out by the Assistant Registrar Nitin Sangle. Prof. Tiwari addressed the university’s teachers, staff, and officers, emphasizing the need for continuous engagement in the creation and implementation of student-centered programs, as this will help the university achieve its objectives and goals.

The program was conducted by the Deputy Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Center, Anita Kaushal, and the Vote of Thanks was given by the Director of the Multimodal Education Department, LP Jhariya. The entire university family was present, and all wished Prof. Sanjay Tiwari well for his future endeavors and new responsibilities with a heavy heart.
