CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A dignified farewell ceremony was held at the divisional office of West Central Railway, Bhopal Division, for a total of 24 railway personnel, including one officer and 23 employees, who retired in September 2026 after years of dedicated service to the Railways.
The ceremony was chaired by Divisional Railway Manager Pankaj Tyagi. On the occasion, Tyagi honoured the retired railway personnel for their long service and contribution to the railway organisation, and extended his best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous retired life.
Among the 24 railway personnel who retired in September were one gazetted officer, Assistant Divisional Mechanical Engineer Arun Joshi, and 23 employees. These employees had served in various posts, including chief ticket inspector, loco pilot, technician, helper and chief office superintendent.

During the ceremony, all 24 retired railway personnel were paid a total of ₹11.58 crore through NEFT as final settlement amount. They were also provided pension payment orders, complimentary passes, identity cards and liberalised medical facility cards through the i-Pass portal.
Keeping in mind post-retirement facilities and financial management, representatives of the State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank also briefed the retired railway personnel about various pension schemes and banking facilities.
Additional Divisional Railway Manager Abhiram Khare, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Vijay Singh, Assistant Personnel Officer (Welfare) Y.B. Gupta, union representatives and representatives of the All India Retired Railwaymen’s Federation were present at the ceremony.
