CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In the inaugural session, chief guest Mathura Prasad highlighted the changes taking place globally through AI and said AI is capable of multiplying human capacity, work style and efficiency. He said, “In India, intelligence has traditionally been used; now, through AI, any subject or case study from anywhere in the world can be prepared and shared with students in college.”
Giving practical examples, he said farmers in the agriculture sector can use AI for disease and pest diagnosis and for deciding the correct quantity of pesticide. He also said teaching work can be made interesting through AI.
Principal Pratima Yadav, who chaired the programme, welcomed the guests and participants. She said that in the changing environment, AI is helpful in moving ahead with transformation. Giving an important message, she said, “We have to take students forward through AI, but they should not be completely dependent on AI. It is very necessary to teach students the correct, limited and ethical use of AI.” She added that teaching can be made more interesting, effective and simple through AI.
Dr. Rita Bamnela, coordinator, presented the detailed outline of the programme and highlighted the use of AI in daily life and education, and its role in improving quality. She urged all participants to adopt these modern technologies and use them better in teaching.
Manisha Sharma, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Higher Education Department, gave information about the Swami Vivekananda Career Guidance Scheme and memorandums of understanding signed with various national and international institutions. Highlighting the importance of AI tools, neural brain and social communication, she advised professors to keep learning AI and take this knowledge to students, as students build the bright future of the country.
Wadhwani Foundation trainer Ms. Aryashikha conducted the first day’s training in the technical session.
At the conclusion of the inaugural session, FDP coordinator Rita Bamnela expressed thanks and gratitude to the chief guest, the additional director, the principal, OSD Manisha Sharma, the master trainers of the Wadhwani Foundation, and all professors and colleagues present.
