The five-day Holi festival reaches its peak of joy, enthusiasm, and excitement on Rang Panchami, a day when all social distinctions fade away as people immerse themselves in the colors of patriotism.
In Bhopal, the Rang Panchami Mahotsav, organized by Bhagwandas Sabnani, State General Secretary of BJP and popular MLA of South-West Assembly, witnessed massive participation from party workers and prominent citizens. The event turned into a grand celebration with music, dance, and drumming, as people lifted their beloved leader onto their shoulders and rejoiced in the festival of colors.
The Rang Panchami Mahotsav was held at Daddoo Temple, Depot Square, South-West Assembly Constituency. From early morning, a huge crowd of supporters gathered to celebrate, eagerly awaiting their leader. As soon as Bhagwandas Sabnani arrived, he was welcomed with a shower of flowers. The celebrations began with prayers to Lord Krishna, followed by applying colors to the deity. The event started with a floral Holi, which soon turned into a vibrant display of colors and water festivities.
Holi: A Festival of Unity and Patriotism
Addressing the gathering, Director Sabnani emphasized the significance of festivals in Sanatan Dharma. He stated,
“Festivals not only bring joy and unity but also align with seasonal transitions, keeping our spirits high. Holi, in particular, symbolizes harmony, where everyone is colored in the hue of patriotism. Though celebrations have evolved over time, we continue to celebrate Holi with the same passion and fervor as in the divine land of Vrindavan, where Lord Krishna once played Holi.”
On this occasion, he extended his warm wishes for Rang Panchami to all countrymen.
The Rang Panchami Mahotsav, which began at 9 AM, continued well past 2 PM, with people applying colors, dancing to festive songs, and enjoying delicious traditional delicacies. The event saw the participation of senior BJP leaders, prominent citizens, and members of various committees, making it a truly grand celebration.
