FIFA has officially announced the prize money structure for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, making it the most lucrative club football tournament ever.
🏆 Key Prize Highlights:
Winner’s Prize: Up to $125 million for the champion team.
Total Prize Pool: A massive $1 billion will be distributed among the 32 participating clubs.
Additional Support: $250 million reserved to support global club football development.
Participation Reward: $525 million allocated for clubs simply taking part.
🌍 Region-Wise Prize Distribution:
UEFA Clubs: Will earn between $12.81 million to $38.19 million, depending on their ranking and revenue share. Top clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich are expected to claim the highest payouts.
CONMEBOL (South America): Around $15.21 million.
CONCACAF, CAF, and AFC Clubs: Approximately $9.55 million each.
OFC (Oceania) Clubs: Will receive $3.58 million.
⚽ Tournament Format:
A total of 32 teams will participate.
The tournament will take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025.
It will follow a group stage and playoff format featuring seven matches.
All earnings from the tournament will be reinvested into club football development worldwide.
🌐 FIFA’s New Global Initiative:
FIFA has also launched the “Solidarity Investment Programme” aimed at long-term global football development. Remarkably, FIFA will not retain any revenue from the tournament, nor will it draw from its reserve fund — ensuring sustainable investment across all 211 member associations.
