CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress / ITDC News Bhopal: The Indian men’s team dominated over Germany 3-0 in a FIH Pro League hockey contest in London, England, on Saturday.

Skipper Harmanpreet Singh scored his 10th goal of the tournament as India secured its first penalty corner thanks to some smart thinking and quick turnaround by Sukhjeet inside the German circle in the 16th minute.

The next two goals for India came in succession, with just three minutes separating the two.

Sukhjeet used his backhand to score one in the 41st minute, while a team goal consisting of an assist from Jarmanpreet Singh and Gurjant Singh’s deflection occurred at the 44th minute.

Germany earned 12 penalty corners throughout the match in comparison to India’s one but still was not able to convert even a single goal.

With this win, India is currently in third place with 24 points, two behind table-toppers Netherlands and second-placed Argentina, respectively.
