CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The wait is nearly over for the star-studded film Kesari: Chapter 2, featuring major actors like Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, and Ananya Panday. This highly anticipated film is set to release in theaters on April 18. The Censor Board has granted it an ‘A’ certificate, indicating that the content is suitable only for viewers aged 18 and above. This clearly suggests that Kesari 2 will be a deep, intense, and serious film that will not only entertain audiences but also provoke thought.

However, the Board has recommended some changes to certain scenes, which is not unusual for films dealing with serious or sensitive subjects. It will be interesting to see how Kesari: Chapter 2 captures viewers’ hearts with its powerful subject and stellar cast. The film revolves around the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, and Akshay Kumar will be seen portraying Senior Advocate C. Sankaran Nair. The total runtime of the movie is 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 6 seconds.

This isn’t the first time an Akshay Kumar film has received an ‘A’ certificate. Several of his past films have also received similar ratings from the Censor Board, especially those based on patriotism, true events, or social issues. Known for tackling strong themes, Akshay’s films often fall under the adult rating category. His movies like Ailan (1994), Sapoot (1996), Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996), Zulmi (1999), Desi Boyz (2011), and OMG 2 (2023), have all received ‘A’ certificates — and now, Kesari: Chapter 2 joins that list.
