CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A prayer meet in memory of late actor Mushtaq Khan was held in Mumbai on September 30, with several artistes from the film industry and people close to him in attendance. Poonam Dhillon, Rajpal Yadav, Rahul Roy, Mukesh Rishi, Vindu Dara Singh, Kiran Kumar and Anjan Srivastav were among the many stars who attended and paid tribute to the late actor.
Anjan Srivastav appeared emotional as he remembered Mushtaq Khan. Recalling their long film journey and experiences of working together, he expressed grief over the actor’s death. Mushtaq Khan had built his identity in Hindi cinema over several decades through supporting and character roles.
A video linked to the prayer meet went viral on social media, on the basis of which it was claimed that Rajpal Yadav was asked to leave the event. However, in the context of another available video, the claim has been described as incorrect. According to the report, during the prayer meet, a person was trying to take a selfie with Rajpal Yadav and the organisers asked him to move away from the spot. Rajpal Yadav himself left the event after paying tribute. Mushtaq Khan died on September 24. After his death, artistes from the film world paid tribute to him and remembered his contribution.
