CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As per the directions of the Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Jabalpur, and under the guidance of the Principal District & Sessions Judge and Chairman, Manoj Kumar Shrivastava, the Final National Lok Adalat will be organized.
At present, a total of 1,58,651 cases of all categories are pending in the courts of Bhopal district. In the National Lok Adalat, 18,872 pending compromise-eligible cases will be taken up, including compoundable criminal cases, cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, claim cases, cases under the Electricity Act, matrimonial disputes, and other civil cases pending before courts.
In addition, 79,737 pre-litigation cases related to the Electricity Act, bank recovery, water tax, BSNL department, and traffic e-challans have been placed before the National Lok Adalat.
To ensure maximum disposal of cases through the National Lok Adalat, a total of 61 benches have been constituted, including benches at the District Court, Bhopal; Tehsil Court, Berasia; Family Court; Labour Court; and RERA.
This time as well, the Electricity Department and Municipal Corporation will provide concessions/relief in the Lok Adalat in accordance with government orders, similar to previous Lok Adalats.
Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Sunit Agrawal, stated that disposal of cases through the National Lok Adalat ensures a full refund of court fees. Moreover, cases are resolved through mutual consent in an amicable environment, resulting in significant savings of time and money for the parties involved.
