CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : The first biannual meeting of the Nagar Rajbhasha Karyanvayan Samiti (NARAKAS) No. 01 for the year 2025 was held at NITTTR Bhopal, with active participation from member offices of the Official Language Implementation Committee.

During the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Official Language, Mr. Narendra Singh Mehra, discussed the activities undertaken over the past six months and important decisions were taken to promote the progressive use of Hindi in official work. Presiding over the meeting, Mr. Mehra recommended the formation of sub-committees under NARAKAS to ensure a more structured and streamlined execution of language-related tasks in member offices.

He also announced special incentives for offices performing exceptionally in the use of Hindi, and declared that language workshops would be held throughout the year. Mr. Mehra agreed to conduct a workshop and training session in August focusing on the quarterly report format.

Director of the institute and Chairman of NARAKAS, Prof. C. C. Tripathi, appreciated the continuous efforts made by member offices for the promotion of Hindi. He emphasized that review meetings are not for pointing out shortcomings, but to inspire better performance.

The meeting was attended by Amitabh Pandey, Director of the Indira Gandhi National Museum of Mankind; Major Nishant Ojha, Official Language Officer of NITTTR; Ashish Potnis from Doordarshan Bhopal; and Bharat Bhushan Deshmukh from IISER Bhopal, along with around 80 officials and language officers from approximately 55 NARAKAS member offices in Bhopal.

The program was conducted by Sanjay Tripathi, Secretary of NARAKAS.
