CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As per the directions of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, the First National Lok Adalat of the year 2026 was organized. The National Lok Adalat conducted across all districts of Madhya Pradesh was e-inaugurated by the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Suresh Kumar Kait.

Following this, the National Lok Adalat at the District Court Bhopal was formally inaugurated by Principal District and Sessions Judge Manoj Kumar Shrivastava by lighting the ceremonial lamp and offering floral tributes to Saraswati and Mahatma Gandhi.

On this occasion, Rajarshi Shrivastava, Special Judge (Atrocities Prevention Act), Bhopal; Agnindhra Dwivedi, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bhopal; Suneet Agrawal, Judge and Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Bhopal; along with other respected judges were present. Administrative officials including Additional Collector Ankur Meshram, DCP Zone-2 Singh, Deputy Collector Ratnesh Shrivastava, and Additional DCP Neetu Singh Thakur were also present.

Rajesh Vyas, Chairman of the State Bar Council, District Bar Association President Deepak Khare and other executive members, government advocates of the district court, representatives of urban local bodies, officials from the electricity department, banks and finance companies, members of the Legal Aid Defense Counsel, court staff, paralegal volunteers, and teachers and students from law colleges also attended the event.

For the National Lok Adalat, a total of 50 benches were constituted for the District Court Bhopal, Family Court Bhopal, Tehsil Court Berasia, and the Labour Court. A total of 12,189 referred cases pending in courts and 80,127 pre-litigation cases—amounting to 92,316 cases in total—were placed before the National Lok Adalat for settlement and resolution.
