CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India E-Press / ITDC News, Bhopal: In an effort to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary initiative “Fitness Ki Dose, Aadha Ghanta Roz” (A Dose of Fitness, Half an Hour Daily), the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Central Regional Centre (CRC), Bhopal, in collaboration with the Media Federation of India, organized the event “Fit India Sunday on Cycle.”

This event was part of a nationwide campaign aimed at promoting fitness, environmental conservation, and community participation.

The program saw enthusiastic participation from members of the Media Federation, PIB Bhopal, local press representatives, media professionals, and over 200 local youth and volunteers. Participants cycled along a designated route within the city, spreading awareness about physical fitness and environmental responsibility.

The initiative was not limited to Bhopal alone; similar successful events were simultaneously held at six other locations across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, organized by SAI CRC Bhopal and its affiliated STC units, involving over 500 cyclists in total.

This initiative, which started on 17 December 2024, continues as a weekly Sunday cycling event across the country. SAI is expanding the campaign’s reach by collaborating with medical professionals, police officers, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), lawyers, physical education instructors, and organizations like MY Bharat, making it a symbol of mass public engagement.

The event stands as a motivational example of uniting citizens for a healthier and more active lifestyle.
