CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director, Ajay Singh, the institute is organizing a five-day workshop on ‘Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.’ This workshop is part of the SARANSH (Systematic Analysis and Research Advancement in National Scientific Health) initiative by the Department of Health Research (ICMR-DHR), aimed at promoting evidence-based medical research in India. Welcoming participants and experts, Prof. Singh remarked, “Evidence-based medicine is a crucial foundation for efficient healthcare services, enabling us to make precise decisions and enhance patient treatment processes. This workshop reflects AIIMS Bhopal’s commitment to advancing research capabilities and encouraging collaborative education in our field.”

Participants from various states and medical fields will attend the workshop, gaining practical skills in systematic review and meta-analysis, which are essential for strengthening evidence-based research methodologies and improving healthcare practices and outcomes. The workshop is being conducted by experts from the Department of Health Research, Indian Council of Medical Research, AIIMS Bhopal, Christian Medical College Vellore, and King George Medical College Lucknow. During this time, participants will acquire an in-depth understanding of systematic review methodologies, meta-analysis techniques, and effective data analysis — all critical tools in today’s evidence-based research landscape.

Program Chair Amit Agrawal and Program Secretary Saikat Das explained that the SARANSH initiative aims to encourage high-quality research practices and develop evidence-based health solutions for India-specific diseases. They noted that this workshop, funded by the Department of Health Research-ICMR, is a significant step toward equipping Indian medical professionals with the skills necessary to contribute to global health research.
