CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of Executive Director Ajay Singh, AIIMS Bhopal hosted a special training program organized by the National Judicial Academy. This program provided Honorable Judges from the Maldives with training on the pioneering work being carried out by the Department of Forensic Medicine at AIIMS Bhopal.
Professor Jayanti Yadav and Associate Professor Niranjan Sahu from the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology shared detailed insights into the department’s functioning and achievements. The Honorable Judges praised the department’s excellence and contributions to the field of forensic medicine.
Highlighting the significance of this program, Director Singh remarked, “This initiative reflects AIIMS Bhopal’s expertise in forensic medicine and its commitment to fostering international collaboration. Training Maldivian judges marks a vital step in the exchange of knowledge and skills between India and the Maldives, laying the foundation for robust cooperation in justice and forensic medicine.”
The visiting delegation toured key facilities at AIIMS Bhopal, including the mortuary, forensic radiology unit, postmortem microbiology lab, forensic histopathology lab, and forensic toxicology lab. They were given practical insights into the operations and contributions of these units.
The presence of Justice Atul S. Keche from the Uttarakhand High Court, who is also an Additional Professor in the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, further elevated the program’s stature. Resident doctors from the department provided the Maldivian judges with a comprehensive understanding of the procedures and methodologies adopted at AIIMS Bhopal.
