Sonbhadra. A case of the suspicious death of Forest Corporation Deputy Logging Manager Satyapal Prasad has come to light in Renukoot in Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district. His body was found hanging from a noose in a room of a private guest house late on Thursday night. Police and Forest Corporation officials reached the spot after receiving information about the incident.
Satyapal Prasad, aged around 40, was originally from Deoria district. His main posting was in Mirzapur and he also held additional charge of the Pipri division. He had reached Renukoot for departmental work and was staying at the private guest house at night.
Late at night, his driver tried to contact him several times on his mobile phone, but after receiving no response, he reached the guest house. When the room door was opened, Satyapal Prasad’s body was found hanging from the fan. After being informed, police inspected the scene and also called a forensic team.
Police took the body into custody and conducted a post-mortem. According to officials, the reason behind the death is being investigated. His family includes his wife and two young children. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of grief among Forest Corporation officials and employees.
