CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A Task Force on Indian Knowledge Tradition (IKS) has been established at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication. Following guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission, a seven-member task force has been formed for implementation at the university. The members include Academic Dean Dr. P. Shashikala, Bharatmuni Research Chair Coordinator Girish Upadhyay, Head of the Library and Information Department Aarti Sarang, Assistant Professor Lokendra Singh, Adjunct Professor Shivkumar Vivek, Assistant Registrar (Academic) Girish Joshi, and Tara Chittur Menon.
University Vice-Chancellor K.G. Suresh stated that this task force has been set up to integrate Indian Knowledge Tradition into the curriculum. He mentioned that the task force will develop modules for general electives under the National Education Policy and prepare reference books and textbooks as needed. Notably, a few days ago, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Suresh established the Devarshi Narad Indian Knowledge Section at the university, which houses books related to Indian Knowledge Tradition.
