CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The fourth Indo-German Environmental Forum will be held in New Delhi today, September 1, 2026, to strengthen environmental and climate cooperation between India and Germany. The forum will be co-chaired by Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav and Germany’s Minister for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, Carsten Schneider.
The theme of this year’s forum is “Together For More Resilience”. The meeting aims to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries on issues related to environmental protection and climate policy, share experiences and advance practical partnerships.
The forum will discuss key topics including low-carbon industry, wetlands, mountain and forest biodiversity, resource efficiency and the circular economy, sustainable finance, green skills and investment. Along with policymakers, representatives from the private sector, think tanks, expert groups and non-governmental organisations will also take part.
The Indo-German Environmental Forum is the main platform for high-level bilateral dialogue on environmental policy between the two countries and was launched in 2008. This year’s meeting is taking place at a time when prospects are strengthening for enhanced cooperation between the two countries in the areas of green economy, sustainable technologies and climate action.
