CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: Nanded. A major relief initiative has been taken for students preparing for competitive examinations in Maharashtra’s drought-hit Nanded district. Free coaching will be provided to 200 students for the medical entrance examination NEET and the engineering entrance examination JEE. The initiative aims to offer better higher education opportunities to students from economically weaker and rural backgrounds.

An opportunity to prepare without financial barriers: NEET and JEE are among the country’s major entrance examinations. Students preparing for them often need expensive coaching and study material. For families facing financial difficulties, meeting these expenses can be challenging. The free coaching being started in Nanded is expected to help selected students prepare for competitive examinations. It will give them an opportunity for structured study, subject understanding and exam-oriented preparation.

Rural students to benefit: Expanding educational opportunities in areas affected by drought and economic challenges is considered important. Such initiatives can encourage students to move ahead on the basis of their talent and build careers in fields such as medicine and engineering.

Under this programme, detailed information related to the student selection process, start of classes, duration of coaching and study material will become clear as per the official announcement. If implemented effectively, the scheme could prove to be an important opportunity for students of Nanded in the direction of higher education.
