CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Jain Marathi Mandal, Bhopal, organized a special and heartfelt event for Kshamavani at the historic Jain temple in Samasgarh. This event was a unique attempt to bring together Mahatma Gandhi’s principles and the ideals of forgiveness in Jainism on a single platform. People from all walks of life participated in large numbers, with children and young members playing a particularly active role.
Message of Forgiveness and Self-Reflection:
The main goal of the event was to spread the message of forgiveness, self-reflection, and collective unity. According to Jainism, on Kshamavani day, everyone seeks forgiveness for their mistakes and forgives others. In keeping with this spirit, the program fostered mutual forgiveness among members, creating an atmosphere of harmony and goodwill.
Formation of the New Executive Committee:
A key highlight of the event was the formation of a new executive committee for Jain Marathi Mandal. Ashish Bhagwatkar was unanimously elected as the president for men, while Mrs. Archana Jain was given the responsibility of president for women. Several other prominent members were also selected for various committee positions, who will manage the Mandal’s activities in the coming time. This new leadership will work toward strengthening the objectives of the Mandal even further.
At the end of the event, all members collectively took a pledge for community service. It was decided that Jain Marathi Mandal would organize various social and religious activities in the future for the benefit of society.
