CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Geeta Jayanti was celebrated at Shri Satya Sai Women’s College, Bhopal—an institution accredited with A+ grade by NAAC Bengaluru. The chief speakers at the event were Deen Sudama Prabhu, Bhakti Shastra graduate and Computer Science Engineer from Gurugram, and Dr. Malti Joshi, Senior Faculty, Home Science Department, Shri Satya Sai Women’s College, Bhopal.

The program began with a welcome address by the officiating Principal Dr. Neena Arora, who welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of studying and reflecting upon the Bhagavad Gita.

Addressing the students, Director Dr. Pratibha Singh said that Shri Satya Sai Women’s College is empowering students through quality and value-based education that ensures their holistic development. The Gita emphasizes the importance of action (karma). Students must make books an integral part of their lives, giving due place to ancient scriptures like the Gita, which teach us how to live life and become diligent individuals.

Chief Speaker Deen Sudama Prabhu, in his address, stated that the Bhagavad Gita is universally regarded as a guide that offers profound insights and direction on life’s purpose, duty, morality, and the path to liberation. It provides a practical philosophy to face life’s challenges and live a meaningful life.

The second speaker, Dr. Malti Joshi, highlighted the need for the teachings of the Gita and shared its messages with the students in a simple manner. She encouraged them to make it an essential part of their lives, as it provides clarity and direction.

Dr. Anju Bajpai, Principal, Law Department, proposed the vote of thanks.

On this occasion, guests and the college director presented copies of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita to the students. Faculty members and students of the college were present. The program was successfully conducted by Assistant Professor of Hindi, Dr. Anuradha Singh.
