CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A Geeta Mahotsav program was organized in the auditorium of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University on the occasion of Geeta Jayanti. On this occasion, Professor B. B. Sharma of Bhoj Open University and Program Coordinator & Registrar Dr. Sushil Manderia were present as chief speakers.

On this occasion, Prof. B. B. Sharma explained the significance of the results of actions while highlighting the importance of the verse “Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana…”. He also referred to Ramdhari Singh ‘Dinkar’s’ composition “Rashmirathi”, explaining how one can achieve a stable state of mind through detachment and practice as described in the Geeta. The Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta contains 18 chapters and is considered an important spiritual scripture. Lord Krishna has inspired the global community to follow their duties through Karma Yoga.

Addressing the program, Registrar Dr. Sushil Manderia said that the Geeta teaches how a human being should live life—stay positive, remain impartial, stay away from ego, control anger, practice restraint in speech, and maintain composure even in the most adverse situations. This is what the Geeta teaches us.

On this occasion, students of the Special B.Ed program of the university presented several performances and devotional songs collectively.

The program was conducted by Prof. Ratan Suryavanshi, Director of the Student Support Department of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University. A large number of university officials, staff members, and students were present at the event.
