CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: West Central Railway General Manager Dilip Kumar Singh inspected Sagar and Damoh railway stations. During the visit, he carried out a rear-window inspection of the Katni Mudwara – Sagar rail section and reviewed railway infrastructure, safety and operational arrangements.
The General Manager inspected the rail section from a special inspection vehicle and examined the track, signalling, bridges and culverts, OHE and other key safety arrangements. Reviewing the progress of maintenance and infrastructure works, he directed officials to ensure full compliance with safety standards, high quality and time-bound execution of works.
At Sagar station, the General Manager reviewed passenger amenities, cleanliness, operations and safety arrangements and obtained details of various systems from the officials concerned. He instructed them to improve the necessary arrangements, keeping passenger convenience as the top priority.
During the inspection, the General Manager paid a courtesy call on Sagar MP Lata Wankhede and received suggestions related to station development, passenger amenities and the railway requirements of the region. The MP also jointly inspected various maintenance and infrastructure works under way at the station and on the rail section with the General Manager. The General Manager directed the officials concerned to take necessary action on the suggestions received.
The General Manager also inspected the ROB located between Sagar and Nariawali and reviewed the safety arrangements available there. He instructed officials to ensure full compliance with the prescribed safety standards and rules.
Thereafter, the General Manager inspected Damoh railway station. He reviewed the progress of development and construction works being carried out under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme and directed officials to complete the works with quality, safety and within the stipulated time frame.
During the inspection, the Principal Chief Operations Manager, Chief Administrative Officer (Construction), Chief Administrative Officer (Construction)/RSP, Chief Bridge Engineer and Divisional Railway Manager, Jabalpur, along with officials of the departments concerned, were present.
