CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a one-day training-cum-workshop was organized at the District Panchayat Auditorium, Rajgarh, focusing on girls’ safety awareness, the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.

The workshop was conducted by Archana Sahay, Director of the Arambh organization, who served as the chief trainer. During the training, Sahay provided detailed presentations explaining the provisions of the Child Welfare Committee, Juvenile Justice Board, and Child Welfare Police Officers, specifically highlighting the legal aspects related to exploitation and gender-based crimes against children.

Shyam Wavu, District Child Protection Officer, elaborated on the work being carried out by the Juvenile Justice Board and Child Welfare Committees in the district, as well as the initiatives by the Women and Child Development Department for child welfare.

The workshop was attended by members of the Special Juvenile Police Unit, in-charge officers of all police stations in the district, Child Welfare Police Officers, heads of the Women’s Cell, chairpersons and members of the Child Welfare Committee and Juvenile Justice Board, principals and heads of high schools and higher secondary schools, project officers from the Women and Child Development Department, officers and staff of the District Child Protection Unit, and staff of the non-governmental organization Shishu Grah Gopal Mahila Mandal.

The District Child Protection Officer concluded the workshop by expressing gratitude to all participants for their active engagement and contributions.
