CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Krishna has a very deep connection with Gen Z. Wherever there is rationality, celebration, balance and love, there is Krishna. Krishna can never be where there is sorrow, despair or laziness. Understanding Krishna may be difficult, but once understood, clarity comes into our lives. Krishna is the ever-present present.
Speaking on the topic “Gita for Gen Z” at MCU, noted author and thinker Dr. Vijay Agrawal said it is necessary to know Krishna in order to understand the Gita. He said the Gita is not a sermon, but pure knowledge.
Dr. Agrawal said arguments never arise in a vacuum; they always contain some element. Every argument has a purpose. Addressing Gen Z, he said young people should keep themselves open and receive the light of knowledge coming from all directions. Doing so will certainly shape their personality in a distinct way. He described concentration of the mind and intellect as essential.
On the occasion, Dr. Agrawal said Krishna imparted the knowledge of truth. Half-truths can become the cause of the end of even great warriors such as Acharya Drona; therefore, truth must always be complete, and where there is completeness, there is Krishna. Dr. Agrawal said the Gita teaches us life. He said the most difficult thing is to be a disciple. If the spirit of a disciple is within us, we will keep learning throughout life, and one who keeps learning throughout life will never fail.
Describing the Gita as the first and ancient book of psychology, he said that if we all remain with our identity and learn to command it, we can succeed in every sphere of life. He said if Gen Z acquires the skills necessary for itself and gains proficiency in them, it can take life to the pinnacle of success. On the occasion, Dr. Agrawal also addressed students’ queries through an interactive question-and-answer session.
Kulaguru Vijay Manohar Tiwari said that much keeps changing in the school and laboratory of life. These teach us a great deal. Each of us has our own Kurukshetra and Mathura. If we all live our lives in a sattvic manner while performing our duties, then certainly each of us will also have a Dwarka. He said that if observed carefully, Lord Ram and Krishna were such great yogis in our history who travelled to many places and fulfilled their respective duties.
Tiwari said the flow of life’s difficult journeys enriches us. He said that while living in our respective Kurukshetras, we should remember our own Krishna.
At the programme, the vote of thanks to the guests was proposed by the university Registrar, Professor P. Shashikala. Students, teachers and officials from all departments of the university were present at the event.
