CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Heartfulness Institute, during a press conference held on Wednesday, announced the organization of a global meditation session on the occasion of World Meditation Day, to be observed on 21 December. The initiative aims to promote world peace, compassion, and unity through collective meditation. More than six lakh registrations have already been recorded from Madhya Pradesh alone, including a significant participation from Bhopal, reflecting the growing public resonance with the initiative.

The global meditation will be conducted under the theme “One World, One Heart,” symbolizing shared humanity, inner stability, and collective harmony. The session will be guided by the global spiritual guide of Heartfulness and President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, Revered Daaji. It will be broadcast from Kanha Shanti Vanam, the global headquarters of Heartfulness and one of the world’s largest meditation centers.

On this occasion, India’s Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will participate at Kanha Shanti Vanam. Thousands of participants will meditate together at the venue, while lakhs across the world will join virtually through digital platforms. From Madhya Pradesh, a large number of seekers will connect online via YouTube at 8:00 pm on 21 December.

The organizers emphasized that when people across nations meditate simultaneously, it transcends individual well-being and becomes a symbol of collective awakening. In today’s fast-paced and stress-driven world, meditation has evolved from being a spiritual option to an essential practice for mental health, emotional balance, and social harmony. Heartfulness offers a simple and practical meditation method that helps individuals achieve inner balance and clarity.

Revered Daaji, sharing his perspective on the initiative, stated that the objective of Heartfulness is not only to make meditation simple and accessible, but also to integrate it into daily life. He noted that when an individual meditates, positive transformation occurs within and naturally radiates outward. He added that if a million people meditate together, it can bring about positive and lasting change in the world, guiding humanity toward a calmer, more compassionate future, which he described as true progressive development.

Heartfulness is founded on the understanding that human life is largely guided by emotions and subtle inner impulses. The practice encourages individuals to focus with clarity on their inner space, especially the heart. When the mind and heart function in harmony, decisions become more balanced and life attains stability. This is why Heartfulness places special emphasis on heart-based meditation as a practical path to inner listening and conscious living.

The session is open to all sections of society, including youth, students, professionals, and families. The practice is free of cost and incorporates the unique Heartfulness method of Pranahuti, which helps participants naturally progress toward deeper states of calm and awareness. Many practitioners report enhanced emotional stability, greater clarity, and improved resilience in facing daily challenges through regular meditation.

Speaking at the press conference, Heartfulness Madhya Pradesh Government Programs Coordinator Dr. Neel Kelkar said that meditation today has become a powerful tool for social balance and strengthening collective consciousness, beyond individual peace. He urged citizens to participate actively in World Meditation Day and make meditation a part of everyday life. He also highlighted that Madhya Pradesh currently leads the country in registrations for the global meditation initiative, with Bhopal at the forefront, under the regional leadership of Heartfulness facilitator Gajendra Gautam.

Heartfulness Madhya Pradesh MP03 Media Coordinator and environmentalist S. D. Virendra described the initiative as an important bridge between mental peace and environmental consciousness. He stated that without inner balance, harmony with nature is not possible, and meditation nurtures sensitivity, responsibility, and ecological awareness. Professor R. K. Shrivastava added that initiatives like World Meditation Day play a vital role in fostering positive thinking and promoting sustainable lifestyles.

The press conference was also attended by data coordinator and trainer Manoj Pathak, Gurmeet, and other supporting volunteers.
