CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Prices of both gold and silver declined in the bullion market on Friday. Silver dropped sharply by ₹3,300 to around ₹2.62 lakh per kg, while gold also fell by ₹1,030 per 10 grams. With prices falling for the second straight day, investors and buyers are closely watching market movements.
According to market experts, precious metals remain under pressure due to a weak trend in the international market, a stronger dollar and profit-booking by investors. The impact is also visible in the domestic market.
Market watchers say silver has now fallen by around ₹1.24 lakh per kg from its all-time high level. Gold prices, too, continue to witness fluctuations. However, buying in the market has not weakened completely due to the wedding season and investment demand.
Experts said gold and silver prices may see further changes in the coming days depending on global economic indicators, decisions related to interest rates and the movement of the dollar index.
