Google to Share Child Sexual Abuse Case Reports With Government

CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: To step up action against online child sexual abuse material, Google has moved towards sharing information on India-linked cases directly with Indian authorities. The company has proposed implementing a process to provide relevant information to the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C). Until now, several US technology companies, including Google, sent reports of suspected child sexual abuse material to the US-based National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The information was then passed on to law enforcement agencies in the countries concerned. Indian authorities had expressed concern over the time taken under this arrangement.
