CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Google has introduced Gemini 4 Argon, the first major model in its new flagship artificial intelligence model series Gemini 4, after a long wait and delays. According to the company, Argon has been designed for deep reasoning in complex and long-running tasks. It can be used in areas such as software engineering, research, financial and legal work, and cyber security.

Google has not made Argon publicly available for now. The company is using it with selected cyber security partners under its Fairwind programme. Google has not announced a fixed date for its public release and has said it will be made available to developers, companies and general users after safety measures are improved.

According to Reuters, Google has also scrapped its plan to launch Gemini 3.5 Pro. The company’s new model is said to have performed better than rival models from OpenAI and Anthropic in some benchmarks, although it lagged behind in some coding benchmarks. After months of delay, the launch of Gemini 4 Argon is being seen as a significant shift in Google’s AI strategy.
