Kamlesh Pandey, a resident of Kishunpur Bagahi village in the Bansgaon area, died in the attack at Dammam Airport on the night of October 21. As soon as news of the incident reached the village, mourning spread through the family. The loss is irreparable for his wife and two daughters, while his elderly parents are also in deep shock.

Kamlesh Pandey was the son of Harishchandra Pandey and worked at Dammam Airport in Saudi Arabia. He was employed abroad to shoulder the family’s financial responsibilities. According to media reports, he had returned to Saudi Arabia from home only about five months ago. His untimely death has left the family facing both an emotional crisis and anxiety about the future.

Kamlesh is survived by his wife Sunita and two daughters. The elder daughter is said to be about 14 years old and the younger daughter 10 years old. Amid the grief of losing their father, the family is now waiting for his mortal remains to reach India. Villagers have been visiting the bereaved family to offer condolences.

The family is also worried that Kamlesh’s body should be brought back to the village as soon as possible so that the last viewing and funeral rites can be completed. According to media reports, the impact of the attack on airport operations and flights may delay the process of bringing the mortal remains to India. The incident has once again brought to the fore the insecurity faced by families of Indians who go abroad for employment and the challenge of repatriating mortal remains in times of crisis. For now, the family awaits a final glimpse of their loved one.
