Gorakshpeeth Saints Dedicated Their Lives To Shri Ram Temple Cause

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath recalled the contribution of Gorakshpeeth to the movement for the construction of the temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. Speaking at a tribute meeting held on the death anniversaries of Mahant Digvijaynath and Mahant Avedyanath, he said both saints dedicated their lives to the Shri Ram temple, society and the nation.

The Chief Minister said Mahant Digvijaynath was present at the time of Ramlala’s appearance in Ayodhya, while Mahant Avedyanath led the Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Mukti Yagya Samiti. He also played an important role in uniting the saint community.

Yogi Adityanath said people should draw inspiration from the lives of both saints for stability and social unity. He also mentioned Mahant Avedyanath’s contribution in the field of education. According to him, along with expanding quality education, emphasis was also laid on linking it with skill development and self-reliance.

At the tribute ceremony, other saints and public representatives also paid homage to Mahant Digvijaynath and Mahant Avedyanath. Speakers remembered the contribution of both saints while referring to the social, educational and religious activities of Gorakshpeeth.
