CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A meeting of the General Council of the Government Homeopathic Medical College was held in the conference hall of the Ministry under the chairmanship of Higher Education, Technical Education, and AYUSH Minister Inder Singh Parmar.

AYUSH Minister Parmar reviewed the college’s activities and discussed various points related to student welfare, issuing necessary directions. Director Parmar provided guidelines to work towards the college’s overall excellence by implementing measures for students’ holistic development, improved teaching-learning processes, and enhancement of academic and educational quality.

The minister conducted an extensive discussion on several points, including the construction of a pharmacy, an additional women’s hostel building, and the introduction of postgraduate courses. He also directed the timely implementation of procedures related to the time-bound pay scale and subsequent higher-level charge process for lecturers and officials. Instructions were given to expedite the appointment process for newly selected lecturers at the college.

Minister Parmar emphasized starting a pharmacy unit (medicine manufacturing workshop) at the earliest and ensuring the availability of necessary tools, equipment, and machinery in compliance with regulations. He also directed the initiation of postgraduate M.D. Homeopathy courses in Community Medicine and Dermatology, as approved by the National Homeopathy Commission, New Delhi, and ensuring the availability of required resources according to standards.

In terms of student safety, the minister approved the construction of a 150-bed additional hostel building alongside the existing 200-bed girls’ hostel. He also instructed the construction of a boundary wall around the college premises and approved the purchase of a college bus for students’ convenient transportation.

Mayor Mrs. Malti Rai suggested constructing an additional floor above the Homeopathic Wellness Center, installing high-mast lights in the campus, and resolving the sewage problem.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary AYUSH D.P. Ahuja, Commissioner AYUSH Uma R. Maheshwari, representatives of the National Homeopathy Commission, New Delhi, and the principal of the institution, S.K. Mishra, along with other General Council members and departmental officers, were present.
