Gram Utkarsh Training Ends, Homestay Entrepreneurs Receive Completion Certificates in Bhopal

CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research, Bhopal, organised a three-day training programme, “Gram Utkarsh – Rural Excellence Training”, for rural tourism (homestay) entrepreneurs of Madhya Pradesh. Participants from various villages of the state attended the programme, which concluded with homestay entrepreneurs receiving certificates.

The chief guest at the closing session, Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Department Director Dr. Manoj Singh, thanked NITTTR Bhopal. Interacting with the rural entrepreneurs present, he called upon the participants to make effective use of the knowledge and skills gained during the training in their respective villages and take rural tourism in Madhya Pradesh to new heights.

NITTTR Bhopal Director Dr. C.C. Tripathi said the training would not only give a new direction to rural tourism but also create new employment and self-employment opportunities for local youth and entrepreneurs. Dean (Science) and IKS Head Prof. P.K. Purohit said such training programmes are an important initiative towards strengthening rural entrepreneurship, skill development and the Indian knowledge tradition.

Rural entrepreneurs are inspiring examples of progress through culture. As part of the programme, Jitendra Chaturvedi addressed participants on the effective use of social media and digital outreach. He provided practical guidance on promoting homestays attractively through digital platforms, creating quality content and reaching online customers.

In a special session on “Atithi Devo Bhava”, Atul Samadhiya highlighted the importance of India’s hospitality tradition. In a session on women’s empowerment and rural entrepreneurship, Mrs. Monika Jain delivered a lecture on the important role of women in the rural economy. Participants were also given detailed information on various Madhya Pradesh government schemes to encourage homestay entrepreneurs. At the closing session, the guests present shared training experiences with the participants. Vandana Tripathi, Gayatri Joshi, P.K. Sinha and other officials were present, and the programme was conducted by Mrs. Babli Chaturvedi.
